During our recent Easter getaway at Pension Rauschenstein, nestled in the tranquil suburb of Schmilka, I was captivated by the rich historical ambiance of this guesthouse. Each morning began with a hearty breakfast at the charming Gasthaus zur Mühle, setting the perfect tone for our explorations around the lovely village, which boasts a good bakery and a scenic water mill. With the edge of the Saxon Switzerland National Park only a stone's throw away, our days were filled with idyllic riverside walks and cycling adventures, making it ideal for both my family and me to embrace the natural beauty of the region.
